Arrival of participants to Prague

Accommodation and meeting the festival organizers, distribution of the full official program of the New Prague Dance Festival/Competition 2025 to separate groups (schedule and stage rehearsal timetable, schedule of Workshop, program of separate performance and program for the day off).

News - for better organization, there will be the NPDF counter at the Terminal 2 of the Prague Vaclav Havel airport with our interpreters ready to help upon arrival
Transport from the airport with the NPDF bus/minibus (with the interpreter) to the hotel
Transport airport - hotel - airport will be provided for a minimum number of 4 people - individually coming people should arrange their own transport (in a case there is a vacant place on the NPDF bus, they can join)
Check-in ***+ hotel (until we have rooms), after 15:00, (accommodation in the morning only in case of free rooms and after talk of the NPDF management)
Distribution of free tickets for accompanying members, parents and friends of schools - groups for all performances
Dinner as agreed with organisers of the NPDF (depends on time of arrival)

Stage rehearsals (each group has its stage rehearsal = space, light and sound) at the theatre during the whole day - according to the list; it's a rehearsal for the opening evening of the New Prague Dance Festival/Competition 2025 and also for the other competition evenings (7/8 and 7/9)!!!
After rehearsals - free time, possibility of visiting historical places in Prague
approximately 20:00 dinner in the hotel
20:30 - 22:30 Meeting and dinner of all the leaders of all participating groups with the direction of NPDF

Additional rehearsals in the Theater
Sightseeing of Prague - we recommend a visit to the Charles Bridge, one of the most representative places of Prague with a possibility of shopping at the famous Old Town, as well as the Prague City Hall, the place of the astronomic clock, a masterwork of Medieval technique and the true symbol of the city, with a show of twelve apostles that comes to life every hour and is admired by tourists cumulated at Old Town Square, the living centre and heart of the capital city
16:00 Festive "GALA show" - opening of the XXIX^th edition of New Prague Dance Festival 2025; first performance

Second part of participants - Day off

Recommended trip to important historical places near Prague - Karlstejn castle, Cesky Sternberk castle, Krivoklat castle, town of Kutna Hora, Terezin Memorial, Rückl Crystal glassworks in Nizbor.
In the evening: cruise on the Vltava River with dinner.
There will be a magician show - so be all ready at the embankment in front of the boat at 19:15 (there will be also a light show after finishing the cruise on the river). Also our photgrapher will take some nice pictures of you with the panorama of the Prague Castle.

FREE DAY

For the free day we recommend a trip to the Prague Castle (on foot) – the seat of President of the Czech Republic (do not miss changing of Castle guards at 12 o’clock), a walk through the Golden Lane, the original place of residence of alchemists serving to the Emperor Rudolph II. and a visit to the impressive St. Vitus Cathedral, the spiritual seat of the Czech catholic congregation, a masterwork by Petr Parler, one of the top artistic and architectonic works of the Gothic period in Central Europe. Take the Kings roud from the Prague’s Castle, cross the Charles bridge and see the architectonical curiosities in the Old Town square or trip to the Prague ZOO (by our bus). Also a visit to the Jewish quater and the picturesque Old Town, so loved by Franz Kafka is possible.

For those people who decide to stay one more day in Prague, the extra night with the HB in the hotel and visit to the historical building of the National Theatre of Prague with a special guide is 120 euro (until April, 15th 2025).
